Senior Technical (IT) Project & Product Manager

Job Description
Greystones Group is hiring a software development project/technical product manager.  You will be responsible for all client communications, relationship management, requirements development, scoping and managing projects, and coordinating with Greystones Group’s managers and developers to complete projects on time and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project/product manager to play a critical role in an actively growing business and share in our success.

Job Responsibilities
The candidate must have proven experience in the following areas:
- Direct and manage full life cycle project development
- Collect and validate application requirements through interviews, surveys, and workshops
- Document and manage requirements through change control process
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale product and project plans and associated communications documents
- Set and effectively communicate project expectations, progress, and concerns to team members and stakeholders
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Track project milestones and deliverables
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
- Provide software demonstrations and participate on sales calls as subject matter expert
- Proven experience with multiple development methodologies including AGILE
- Knowledge of open source philosophies and technologies such as Drupal
- Experience managing multiple government projects/programs at one time
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance if necessary
- Business development process involvement a plus
- Minimum Bachelors Degree from a major university
- Minimum ten years proven experience in IT project or program management

Special requirements

Location
Washington,D.C. (near Nationals Park) with up to 20% local and some limited overnight travel
